The Naked Coral trees start to bloom with their scarlet flowers in February, March after it looses all its leaves. Photo taken in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. on Mar. 7, 2012.

It's a very usual sight here. This tree is widely planted in parks and in front of commercial buildings.

I grew one from seed..did ok. Vandals got to it. The one in the pic looks like its in Mexico on some dry hillside. Great plant.
