Thanks...I was very excited to see him? her? because I never find salamanders here, I do see them dead on the roads a lot but I'm not good at finding them at all! They tend to hang out under leaves and rocks so I suppose i should make more of an effort to dig around!
I cleared away some old oak leaves & there he was!

We don't get salamanders of any type so that is exotic. Yes, please do dig around, almost anything you find will have a wow+info value here...
