Thanks all!

As the new house has a cellar I'm looking at getting a few Arisaema. And lots more bulbs in general too.

Have you moved yet Meanie or are you packing ?

Fabulous to have a cellar!

I rather liked the look of the 'ninfarium' at aberglasny in stevie the terrible's blog. It had quite a few lilac coloured pleione's in together, which looked lovely, as well as other interesting ferns and plants.

April 16th Amy - most of the unimportant stuff is packed. Leaving a fair bit of furniture behind too for the new owner.

I'll have to have a look Sticki. The cellar is going to be soooo handy!

Beautiful colour to the flower Meanie....:>)

I had one a few years ago Motinot and they are quite spectacular!

Meanie:

Are you going to plant it in your garden? It should be hardy for you too, right?

23 Mar, 2012

In theory it should be hardy Delonix, but the biggest problem with UK winters is the risk of cold and wet winters. So I'll grow it in a pot sunk in the ground, then lift for the winter and store it in the cellar.

Meanie:

Yes, the dreaded cold and wet, which sometimes can rot tubers.

It must nice to have a cellar! :>)
