Purple Helleborus

This is the first Lenten Rose I ever planted and decided I liked it enough to get some more last year. This year I'm going to buy every variety I can get my hands on.

It does look very blue in this picture but I think the actual flower color is closer to a very deep violet. If I can find the tag that came with it I will post the name of this variety.

It was tagged as Helleborus orientalis, I thought it was one of the Brandywine hybrids but could be mistaken. There is a Hellebore called 'Night Coaster' that closely resembles this color. Another one is 'Grape Galaxy' that was introduced in 2010 that is a deep violet color.

Beautiful :) I have never seen it here. I like this shadow of blue.
