Can anyone out there tell me what is likely to be removing young rhododendrons and chewing the sturdy plastic pots on the patio? A squirrel? A badger? The young rhododendrons was in ericaceous compost with no bonemeal. This has happened a few times now, so pots being moved to a different area.

I've noticed that sometimes my dog has a root around in the ericaceous compost (without bonemeal) and has a munch on it if I don't get to him quick enough....so there must be something in it!!

I was going to say bonemeal, hmm. I think a badger only because they are more 'rip apart in hope' whereas squirrels probably need some food evidence.
