It is a beautiful thing isn't it Rose. Mine are both looking so good at the moment. I also have variegated ones which don't seem to flower much, but are so light and pretty all through the winter...I love Viburnums!

So do I karen. They look good all year round and my other favourite which is a bit later is the V. Marissei.

Yes, I adore that one too. In fact it was that one that got me hooked on Viburnum. There used to be a nursery near where I lived in Dundee...it's not there any more...very sad...because it had some stunning mature trees and shrubs in it. Memorable ones were a huge flowering tulip tree and a very big V.plicatum mariesii which you could walk all around...it was such a beautiful sight in flower! That nursery was sold for building plots and each of the houses was going to be a million squids. Not surprisingly, it has still to be built on...that was about 10 years ago now. Breaks my heart to think of that garden in rack and ruin. It also had a lovely spring and stream with bog lilies that would be the first flowers I would notice in spring time after the snowdrops. Such a pity, makes me sad to think of it :( Still, that's progress...:(

Thats so sad Karen , Is the Viburnham still there or did it get chopped. Everythings about money these days.
You ought to get V.Carlessi Aurora if you have room in your garden. The scent from it is gorgeous.
