I have never lifted lillies, Sheilar...These were out all Winter...cant tell which ones they are yet...the label, as usual, has disappeared...:>)

I never used to lift them, but after that hard winter of 2010, I lost them all (they were in tubs). So for some reason this year, as I had lots of highly perfumed ones, I lifted them.

Mine are all in tubs too....I just shoved all the pots down the side and back of the shed...Maybe thats what sheltered them during those two bad Winters....

I love this sign, and these look good and healthy.
Here the asiatics will survive cold very well, but any fragrant oriental not nearly as tough, will not overwinter in the ground at all. Mulching heaps up the sides of the tub could help add protection if you don't move them.

It would be extremely cold where you are Greenthumb...This Year we didnt have a Winter...really strange....

Wow - they're well on. I lifted mine for the winter, wrapped them in newspaper and placed them in the shed. I planted them out about two weeks ago as they were shooting but there's no sign of them yet in the tub (maybe I planted them a bit too deep??!!)
