Pond weed in the Swansea Canal

Although this pond weed is very attractive it completely fills most of Swansea canal making it totally unavagable. There has been suggestions of trying to clear the canal to make it useable but The cost of clearing this weed and tidying up the canal woud cost a fortune. so at present it is mostly used as a place to take a nice quite walk.
