By the end of the day the large main petals folded back so it was very spiky. I think it will look better when it gets warmer and if it reblooms.

It's agonizing - I can see what is going to open tomorrow, and how it will be cloudy which will ruin it. There is one with an applique throat that failed to open fully - just enough to show what is coming.

Oh yes suppose there's that side to it too, especially if there are only a few buds, then you may have to wait another whole year to see it again.
Ooo hope you get a good flower on the one with the applique throat, would love to see that :-)
