Tulips and Forget-Me-Not Combi

I love these tulips - I have some planted in tubs by the steps, but mine appear much darker and bluer - is it the photograph are are yours actually this colour? They are beautifully set off by the blue.

Yes, I always adjust the white balance of my camera before shooting so they're in actual colour.

These tulips are 3 years old now and it could be my imagination but the colour is getting lighter year after year. They used to be much darker purple (very close to black).

Perhaps I would ditch these this summer and plant fresh bulbs this autumn......

Oh don't ditch them - I think they're beautiful, just buy some more of the same and plant these elsewhere.

OK, I won't! I'll give them a chance.
