This one came out of the ground completely last fall, I think a skunk dug it up looking for grubs. I thought for sure it was going to die but it came back great this Spring.

I like this one too, it is the most fragrant daphne I have flowering right now. I just wish I had an easier time rooting cuttings, all the other burkwood daphnes root easily for me.

Daphne x burkwoodii 'Somerset' is easy to root from cuttings and both 'Silveredge' and 'Gold Dust' are variegated forms of Somerset. I'm pretty sure Carol Mackie came from one of the other burkwood clones so that is my best guess. I like Silveredge and Gold Dust better anyways so I don't try rooting very many Carol Mackie cuttings.
