This evergreen shrub is described as having glossy, aromatic foliage ... personally I really don't like the scent!

I quite like the scent,Shirley..a bit distinctive though..not a 'flowery' scent,if you know what I mean ..

Paul, if you brush against the leaves you'll soon sense the aromatic leaves! ... More like a spicy, curry aroma to me ... :o(
Distinctive it certainly is, Sandra! ...

I've never noticed the leaves are scented Shirley, but I do love the scent of the flowers!

Karen, do you recall me disliking the scent of an Achillea last year? ... Well, this Choisya is having the same effect! ... If you rub the leaves of the latter between your fingers, you may smell a varnish type scent. Not repulsive, just not a scent I would have expected really ... :o(

Yup, varnish is a pretty fair description, and a lingering hint of orange oil as well. Quite a chemical smell, but interesting! :))
