This is an old variety bred at Knap Hill in England and one of the parents used in breeding the Exbury strain of azaleas (from 1922 onwards)

Thank you for the helpful info! It is nice to see that color on an azalea, I don't come across many yellow/orange colored varieties here. The flowers are huge on that, it's a very nice looking azalea!

That is a very eye-catching azalea! I have never heard of that one, do you know if it is from the northern light series?
