Digging

The whole area to the left of the path was lawn. Out of shot I have already removed a couple of patches of grass and planted a few Azalea.

The Hamamelis (Witch-hazel) was planted in the grass because when it was bought, I hadn't got round to prising up the rest of the lawn. The only grass that remains, forms a pathway between what will be a shady (north facing) spot.

Digging done with the help of a visiting (from Australia) Nephew. - Thanks Matt.
