My new cockerel, Digby, along with his harem of hens help greatly to keep all the weeds and undergrowth down in our woodland! Saves on having to get the strimmer out quite so often!

Do they eat the weeds then, might get some here, could do with some help with the weeds.

Hi Suey, chickens will scratch around all day and eat the weeds and somehow know which things are bad for them and what not to eat. Unfortunately, Digby had to be returned to the farm where I bought him as he turned out to be a Psycho Cockerel and liked nothing better than trying to attack me at every opportunity (and he had some enormous claws and spurs on him)! The hens are still all fine though :-)

I like the idea of having chickens here, but no psychos allowed.
