Was just going to ask how old it was, I have the same one and mine has one flower stalk, only bought it last year though :-)

Hi Simbad its been in that spot 6 years I do have two pieces that I planted in pots last winter both have only 1 flower on

I have found if I top dress in November this realy helps with increase it sends small runners out which I then pot up, I am trying to under plant the fern corner with it , one even rooted in the tree log fern all by itself I know you can have white form as well , but I doint know how hardy that one is I tend to find with white flowred perenials dont seem to last in my garden and that was including phlox !!

Plus its in a very dry spot under trees and next to the gravel entrace into the other part of the garden its one of my favourites just love the foliage this will flower for weeks

Mines planted under trees too, I didn't know it sent out runners I'll keep my eye open for them :-), we're gradually trying to clear the wood of cow parsley and ground elder and plant with woodland plants,hostas and ferns, long job, just doing a small area each year, spraying a few times with roundup to get rid of the ground elder, hate the stuff, don't mind the cow parsley too much its quite pretty, there's just too much of it, grrrr.
