This is how it looks at the moment! Ever felt you've taken on more the you can chew! We've had 3 skips so far and we're ready for the next. The aim was to have it finished so we could relax and have some B.B.Q parties during the summer school holidays. I wish!!

Thanks Clulesskev. Don't know if others would think it a good deal ..One quarter pound burger for a quarter of a ton of clay and sandstone! Could be worth a try though. Maybe the only way it will ever get finished!!

It'll sort your friends from the burger-warriors !!
That's for sure !

Oh I love getting to grips with such a challenge and yes, Cluless is right~ the more the merrier. Many hands etc..........you're not in Birmingham are you? I'd offer to come and 'get stuk in'.

My parents let out their house when they lived abroad. Neighbours told them that the second tenants had held a garden party just before my parents were due back, to join the party folk had to bring and use a tool to render the garden presentable. Apparently it was a great success :-D

Alas Crystaltips, I'm in Derbyshire so too far away for you to travel :-(
Maybe you and Clueless Kev are right and we should go down the party route Xela! I could organise a 'Fill a skip in a weekend' party. I work in school and only 3 and a half weeks to go and we're on our summer break. I hoping that the 6 weeks minus our 1 week away should see it on the way to being sorted.

What better way to celebrate August Bank Holiday than with a barbecue, Joannie ?

"Many hands make light work!" I love pitching in at work parties, and our family use them frequently; it's how my daughter's back patio and side yard got done last year! Doesn't have to be fancy, just a BBQ & beverage (refrain from alcohol until after the work is completed if you want straight lines, lol!); it's really about a bunch of friends gathering for good company & a chance to give of themselves to those they care about!

Don't despair !
It's all part of the process.
Have your BBQ.
For every quarter pound of burger you dish out, get the guests to dig out a quarter ton. (you must supply the shovels though, otherwise, it'd be cruel)
And if the energy spent chasing/catching the nourishment is worth more than the energy spent in eating the nourishment, stop digging and demand another burger.
And a pint, cos you've earned it.
Everybody's happy, if not confused.
