The "wild" clematis

in it's new place (higher up on the bank) the wild clem is starting to leaf out and looks much happier than last year at this time.

I've seen one growing over an 8 foot fence in the little town near us. They grow in the small trees which line our road! In the autumn when the leaves have fallen the seed heads look like hairy spiders hanging on the bare sapling!

clematis are true bonus plants arent they!! i love them, it wont be easy to support that plant 8 foot high will it??

Good eye, Sticki! No...you probably have read my "plans" before...I "plan" to finish the bridge I "planned" for the stream and part of it will be a trellis for the clem and for a transplanted Virginia Creeper. That's after I finish the deck seat (trellis)!!! So much to do...so little time and energy.
