Hosta and Heuchera 'Melting Fire'

They are doing really well, Nariz - I'm deeply envious. I must try getting hold of some more hostas and some interesting heucheras instead of just Palace purple.

I was 'on the hunt', Gattina, when we went back to Britain by Ferry for last Christmas. 'Mahogany', 'Melting Fire' and 'Silver Scrolls' were the only three in the lovely GC near to where Partner's parents live - so I had 'em!

My word, you sound almost predatory! I think I'd have done the same. You have to grab your chances.

The little blue one in front...is it Blue Boy? I brought the 'blue boy' from my other garden..happy to say it's doing well, and bought a Bressingham Blue last season and it's up and growing large and turning that pretty misty blue.

Sorry Lori - can't remember the variety of the 'blue' Hosta. I brought it with me from Britain when we moved here in 2006 and I'd been cosseting it for several years then, so the original could be around 15 years old. Bit far for my memory now! Yes, I do let them bloom - the bees love them and the flowers are so pretty. :o)

Me too... I love the summer blooming ones which have the lovely lily scent...mmmm.
