Not sure if I already added a picture of this in full bloom so here's one I just found from a couple weeks ago.

This is one of the nicer pink varieties I've been able to find here, mountain laurels in general are not commonly found at garden centers here. Are they hard to find in the UK?

They are not that plentiful in the U.K on a par with Daphne's, and when available quite expensive,Carousel (the one i have) and Minuet are available at £35.00 each(whats that about 50 Dollars) from a specialist nursery here.there may be others.
The one i have is in a pot but I need to raise the area where I want to plant it as it can become waterlogged in winter, acid is not a problem as my ground is naturally.

I got lucky and found this one at a grocery store garden center for $7. My 'Big Boy' mountain laurel I had to special order for about $35. That is an expensive plant there! I used to think they were easier than daphnes but a few of them have had problems I am still trying to figure out. They are definitely the most challenging plants I have.
