Stipa Gigantea

Another filling out nicely, planted last year, trying to create a hot border. Love the bronze/brown tinge to the flowers :)

This looks good Daylilly I like that blue of the festuca with that Heuchera.

Thanks Stroller, there is also is a Miscanthus 'Ferner Osten' behind the heuchera which should grow quite tall with feathery plumes, quite slow getting started but coming on now, the plants to the right of the heuchera are Helenium 'Moorheim Beauty', we have another festuca my OH likes those, we are going to put it the other side of the Stipa to balance it out a bit, havent done it yet, have also moved a shrub Nandina into there behind the bronze grasses this weekend, still a bit of planting there to do to add some hot colours hopefully, also thinking of widening it a bit more too so I can put something in front of Stipa, never ending phew :)

Thanks very much TT :)

I hope the storms haven't flattened these too much ..

I know TT, but surprisingly not, however, i have a lavatera in the right corner to this and that has come forward quite a bit and a tall centaura which has flopped down so have had to try and stake it, our garden is quite open and windy so it has made me think i may need some things a bit sturdier in that corner, and just a few other things have blown about a bit, but not too badly so far :)

That's good to know you've not had too much damage.

On dry days, between the storms, I've been systematically pruning back evergreens which are up high on trellises, so that they have less weight... and, that seems to have worked well ..so far, they've all stayed in place !
