love Gunneras Linda - are you planting this in garden ?

Cool! Wsh I had room for one!

It is a root cutting from a friend. You are meant to keep it in a pot for the first year.....hence the pot. It is in the position it will finally be planted minus a few large ferns that will have to give way to this giant baby.

They are huge Linda. They like damp watery places whenever I have seen them. They look very impressive. Good luck with the planting.

I have been following instructions Dorjac. The book says to keep the root cutting in a pot for the first year and then plant it out. I will have it in a very damp area where I grow some very large ferns which I will move as baby Gunnera grows. It is similar conditions to where it has been growing up til now!!!!
