Yes Carol, very shiny. Oh yes Paul, big leaves. They flowered a few weeks ago, now the leaves that will turn golden in the Autumn.

Our Darmera is massive overtaken our tiny pond lol have just had the Osmunda return, must have been lying dormant, waiting for the rain, so pleased to see it, such a beautiful fern, it is very difficult in a small garden, trying to keep everything under control.......
