Rose flowering from cuttings taken 2 years ago.

That's great, I often stick pieces of roses which may have broken off from the main plant straight into the ground, majority of the time they grow.

Will remember this tip....I broke a stem of a climbing rose trying to tie it in yesterday and put it in the bin!!

I do that with most plants Scottish, if they take... they take..if not, it is ok too, I have done that with an ivy and it took :)))

It will probably be ruined HB - the bin is almost full - the hedges got cut the other day and got my son to jump in and trample it all down last night!

He used to enjoy doing it when he was a boy HB...now he's a man (well at 23 still a boy really) the eyebrows go up!
I just use a bit of emotional blackmail and tell him - ''that's fine.....I'll be like that when you need something from me'' - then he does it :))

Glad they did well for you,H.bird...I grew three from mine that way,Scottish....later in the season is usually a good time..stems are stronger..no need to worry about the ones in the bin :o)
