I would like to add a shrub in this pot

I like pierris, but have never grown one in a pot.

St I have 3 of these already in the garden a nice foilage that changes colour would be good.

thats what i like about the pierris, always a different colour, um got to think now ~ you dont want an Acer??

Got an acer in front raised bed.

And it may get too big.

Or could turn it into an alpine pot .

would you prefer evergreen?

or maybe some of the ferns that change colour?

What about a smoke bush? (Cotinus) They have lovely foliage and look stunning in autumn.

It does look nice but think not for my container better in the ground as it will get big.
