After seeing how big Dawns had got i thought i would show how well mine is after 4 years in my garden, so anyone who had a piece hope you gave it room lol

I love the colour of your fence too San...wish I'd gone with green instead of orangey. I thought it would be nice and light and bright, but it stands out far too much. That green is great!

thanx karen i love the green on my fence, at first i wasnt sure but when we had some new pannels in i couldnt wait to paint them, couldnt go back to plain wood colour now :o))

That is a nice plant Sanbaz - but as you say, needs a bit of room. I really like those leaves though, great shape... I know nowt about this particular plant.

Hi Bamboo it has flowers first then these big leaves which go orangy red for autumn, it likes moist areas or pond edges but as you see grows large but not as big as a gunnera. indian rhubarb is its nickname, glad you like it :o))

Hi San the piece you gave me is growing well , it has some nice big leaves I will take a photo when it stops raining ,it didn't flower this year but then we had a drought last summer & through the winter perhaps it will flower late with all this rain !

Bamboo They are long pinkish with small pretty flowers at each level going up almost looking like a long fir -cone , San might give you a better description ......

sorry Bamboo im late getting back been away, glad you found the flower pics they are lovely ;o)
Amy i hope you get some flowers next year but the leaves themselves are nice and grow quickly ;o)
BA mine is about 3 years old and spreads about 3ft across now and 2 ft width, so not sure how much more it will grow, probably has much as you let it lol,
i will have to split it again i think :o))
