Hydrangea quercifolia 'Snowflake'

Áa, so this is it, Robert. Mine is growing very well, in spite of the fact we have had very dry spring, but still no flowers. Last year, when I bought it, it also did not have flowers. I guess, maybe dry season. But you said, that this sort of H. doesn´t require so much water as let say macrophylla. Right? Listening....

They seem to tolerate being dry better than H. macrophylla. How big is it? I've bought smaller oakleaf hydrangeas that have taken a season or two to flower. They produce flower buds toward the end of summer so if it has been browsed on, frosted or trimmed since then it won't flower. If none of those things happened, just give it more time. At least oakleaf hydrangeas have nice foliage, fall color and flaking bark to enjoy so it's not a total loss :)

i love that, its beautiful

It was very bright so the flowers are a little hard to see but they were much bigger than all the other varieties I saw there. They look even better when they age a little bit too!
