Flowers were just beginning to open. I'm surprised by how well these have held up with the dry heat.

Its a beautiful camellia Rk, I can quite understand why youre pleased its flowering so late. For me the bark of that tree really steals the show.

I couldn't agree more, the bark and fall color of this tree are outstanding. The flowers are neat, anything that flowers this late is, but the bark is always the first thing I notice on a Stewartia.
