pretty plant isnt it, always reminds me of chives!! i nearly fell off a cliff trying to get a nice picture of thrift on black rocks.

Yes - it's just like chives! I've tried to grow it several times in a trough, but it never flowers the following year , and just dies. Either it has deep roots, or it is much happier in its native habitat. I once saw it growing profusely just above the beach in Bracklesham Bay (long before that was developed as a resort) Beautiful!

I have lots of thrift growing beautiful in my garden .
I just love it and so does the bees .
