Unknown plant

Discovered this in my garden, not sure what it is, as last year it developed a green flower? any suggestions. Whilst it has no coloured flower it is an attractive plant. Could be an unusual weed I suppose.

Thanks Hywel, it's not a particularly sharp photo but if you could enlarge the picture, right in the middle, you can just make out the flower beginning to open. Will try to get a picture to make it clearer.

Could you put a photo of the flower when it opens ? Maybe it would be easier to identify then.
It reminds me of Umbrella Grass - Cyperus.
