Finally getting an area ready in the back of my house for mountain laurels and rhododendrons. I had to dig out the grass and still chopping away the neighbors silver maple roots from the area. There is quite a bit of clay so I dug down a little, threw in some sandstone and then mounded up with sand and peat moss. Not sure if I needed to go through all that trouble but the mountain laurels seem to like it.
