Patties plum - what can I say, she's a lovely poppy. Most of my poppies, todate, have been opium poppies and Welsh poppies but I have planted a white, and brilliant orange oriental poppies this year and am still waiting to see them open.

Gorgeous....oriental poppies are very slow this year! Mines are usually finished and cut right back by now. Some of them have just started flowering!!

Thanks for the comments ladies. I have just looked out the window and seen that one of my white poppies has opened - and it is bucketing rain again. I hope to get out and see it before the rain destroys it.
