Hydrangea quercifolia 'Little Honey'

It has been very hot and dry for June and I think this one is starting to suffer a bit. Last year it looked great all summer but the foliage is looking a bit rough now. This is the only plant I have left in front of my house since I have moved so many (oakleaf hydrangeas don't grow as good in pots). Eventually I will move this too.

This one seems a little touchy compared to other oakleaf hydrangeas. It gets leaf spot easily from cool-damp weather and definitely doesn't tolerate sun/heat as well as some of the other varieties (Alice, Sikes Dwarf, Snow Queen). The foliage is beautiful though, I don't even mind that the flowers blend in. I love the fall color on it too.

Definitely H. quercifolia has beautiful autumn foliage colours :)
