these are horrible, they are quite slimey, I keep cleaning them off with tissue and flushing it down the loo

Sticki I have just been out to take another look, there were masses of eggs under the leafs and there was a red thing in a pile of them, cleaned it up and flushed them

It is the red lily beetle eggs, they are horrible, they lay their eggs in their excrement, thought you might like to know Yorks. Lol x

yuck, I keep washing my hands, OH used a bug spray on it yesterday but it seems to have done no good, is there anything else we should be doing,

there isnt a spray i dont think yorks, like GM says you have to keep taking them off yourself!!

Oh goodness me, we only have it on one lillie plants at the moment must check out the other three tubs, I seem to be out there all the time cleaning the eggs off,

They only attack the lillies I think Yorks, and if they fall off before you can pick it off they land upside down and play dead. That is definitely their eggs in those black blobs, so get rid of it quick.

iv lost all my lilies yorkshire through lily beetles, they can soon get through the plant and also the bulbs, i stamp on them as you cant buy anything that will kill them, awfull things :o(((

There isn't a spray Val. I use to collect the beetles to send to the John Inns Institute where they were trying to find something to stop them breeding .....
