...stepping stone under the arches...took me two visits out there, in the rain on my knees (bare knees mind) soggy soggy sluggy squelch, to discover it is a square stepping stone, with two bits of bark chipping on it wot the blackbirds have hauled out AGAIN....and one of them just flew in to the window...third one in the last few days..but it was ok. I ticked it off and told it not to haul out my bark chippings any more or I'd hit it hard on the haid again! :S

Lol!!! Bloomin' birds have been going mad in my garden too, luv them but they make such a mess. Riddle solved then :o))

Two visits outdoors and I still didn't realise I was looking in the wrong direction!

I find it hard to see it as the slab...it's because there is a leaf in front of it.

Wow! I have a story for you. My old house was built for two spinster sisters as two flats, up and down. In the downstairs flat was a piano teacher. I had my piano in the downstairs too. I often thought that if she knew there was another music teacher in the house she would be pleased. One day, a 'sensitive' friend came around and we were having a chat in the garden (bliss, it was sunny that day!). At some point I needed to pay a visit, and when I returned my friend remarked on my piano playing while I'd been away (she knew nothing about the teacher at that time...I told her of course). I thought it was lovely, never bothered me at all, but I never heard my 'old friend' playing myself. My MIL heard it once as well.

..sorry, forgot to say, I obviously hadn't been playing my piano....I'd been to the loo! Different kind of tinkle altogether!
