Japanese clethra is an awesome plant and one I've wanted for a long time. The nursery didn't have any but I do have some cuttings now. The temperatures have made easy plants much harder to root so hopefully I can get a few to take.

It's very pretty, hope you are successful with the cuttings.

It has been between 85-95F every day for the last 2-3 weeks. This week temps are going to be 95-100 but it is the humidity that really makes it suck. It's normal to have a few days like this but not a long stretch. There hasn't been any rain for a while, the grass is all fried and the corn is shriveled up. I am hoping the cuttings won't rot, I am keeping them in the shade and not covering them with humidity around 50%. I figured it is better to have air circulation and a lot of misting.

Same weather here Rk, really hoping it breaks soon! Were you affected by the big storm knocking out power?

Nope it missed us barely, 30 miles south they got 3 inches of rain and that is more than we've had in the last 6 weeks!
