I think it's a pearl - I've read that Chinese dragaons, in their Dragon Dances, are led by someone in front holdint a "pearl". Though red dragons are more Welsh than Chinese!
Whatever it is, she doesn't look like she's going to let go of it in a hurry!
I gave it a coat of clear varnish to weatherproof it a bit more and it's now outside, though I still don't have a proper lair for it yet.

lol I do want a Japanese-style garden, even in miniature, not sure how a dragon would fit the context, though! but in a fantasy-faerie style lanscape, well, anything would fit!

For sure I would situate him (the Dragon, not sure what gender it is in English) somewhere close to a bigger rock with sharp spurs, some clumps of grass around and solitary Acer or small bushy japan azalea (with colours of dragon, if possible):))))How do you like it?

I'm making it a lady dragon, she's being veyr protective of that pearl! I'll have to think about your planting suggestions, I need to build up a mental picutre, and I'll need to look up some plants to give me a whoel scene. but thanks for the suggestion!
