Unknown Clematis now in bloom

Well well...a mystery! Lovely isn't it!

Karen this was my very 1st clematis when we built our house 24yrs ago.

And it still blooms well for me.

I have never taken clematis cuttings.

I've been trying to find a name but so far no luck....will have another look now....it's lovely!

I have never tried to take a clematis cutting ,is it easy to take.

Ice Crystal, Kathleen Dunford and Paola ....any of these ring a bell or look like it Kath?

It looks more like Ice Crystal and Paola Karen .
But mine has more green in the bloom.

Yes I noticed that, but green in the bloom is often the result of colder climate kath. Will you take another photo for me when it is fully out please?

Tunic is looking grand so far btw, and the colour goes beautifully with denim I noticed as I was working on it. I think I prefer it to mine, which I am going to rattle down and knit up a size smaller....eventually!

But yours is nice too Karen and I dont mind if you make another in the same colour for your self.

Did you need to use smaller needles?

I didn't Kath. I started with smaller kneedles but it looked tiny, so I went back to as per pattern, and it looks good now.
