I rooted a couple cuttings of this 3-4 weeks ago and it is already flowering. I think these look nice in a perennial border and like any plants that attract butterflies.

Maybe they should call it Beer bush instead of Butterfly bush? I've never noticed that but I will be checking again since you mentioned it haha. I never cared for these much until last year when I noticed how many nice varieties there are. I am still trying to find a 'Royal Red'.

Rkwright - My absolute favourite is Black Knight. It's a really Dark Dark Purple with an orange eye. I think that one sells the strongest! Mine here is just coming into flower and I'll put a picture on when I can get a decent one - once it stops raining!!!

I used to have Black Knight but I moved it a year or two ago in the fall and haven't really taken good care of it. It was a pretty one and is one of my favorite. There is one called Honeycomb that has an interesting flower too, that is probably my favorite. I also like the Blue Chip because it is so small and looks very pretty in a container.

Isn't this sweet. I love Buddleia - Have got several varieties, but can find room for more! I love the perfume reminds me of hops/beer!
