To save pollen I have some very small vials that I use. When the pollen has developed, stick the tip in and put your finger over it so the stamen falls in, but the long part stays on the flower. Leave the cap off for about an hour, then if you think you will use it the next day put it in the refrigerator, if not, the freezer. Remove one stamen with tweezers and pollenate. It has worked several times for me, and I have have Squirrel Beater and Blue Spring pollen saved.

If you think of crossing this one, it passes that effect very well. I have several where this is the pod parent.
