Lovely Suzy - I have 2 of these clematis - one hasn't flowered yet and the other has been sprayed by weedkiller when my neighbour was spraying her driveway!!!

I bought it a few months ago and this is the first of 2 buds to open.. guess I can't expect too much in its first year!! Shame about yours, bet there were a few choice words going on in your head about your neighbour!!!
