Barleria oenotheroides - Giant Yellow Shrimp Plant

OOOOhhh, this is lovely. I want one.

This Barleria species isn't very common here. I think it's only used pretty widely in the Miami, Florida area (as a small shrub). I'll have to see if it'll set some seed pods.

The more that I see it the better it gets!

This plant produced one seed from last year's flower spike. I think this plant will easily produce seeds...not like my sterile Eranthemum pulchellum (Tropical Blue Sage).

Just wait until you both see my Melastoma candidum 'Princess Kauai'. It's almost ready to flower.

I planted the one seed this plant produced in this with this plant. I hope it grows! It should be germinating, as the weather has been very warm and muggy!
