This was on a rainy evening so we were quick to get camera in case they left but they stayed for a long time but only for 1 night.

So glad we saw them.

Loads of deer round here in suburbia edges (on a council estate of all places). Your deer are cute. Wonder if they are Muntjac.....or are they even smaller?. Round here they stroll across the road and stop to look at you. They were featured on TV a while back. In the countryside a few miles away there was a big ?herd of them, sitting in full view, in a field only a few yards away from the road, in daylight. We have to drive carefully, as the country ones dash out to cross over.

I hit a deer (small, fortunately) driving at night on the Black Isle. One jumped out, and I missed it, but another followed very quickly and I hit it ( a very common scenario, apparently). When I stopped to investigate, there was no sign of it, so presumably it was a glancing blow and - I hope - it recovered. Lost me quite a bit of sleep, though. (Probably will tonight as well, now that I've remembered it!)
