Daylily Wrong plant

Supposed to be 'Russian Ragtime' which isn't a double and definitely isn't this colour, I did order a couple of doubles with this one the label is still round the base of this but wondering if they've been mixed up,'Madge Cayse' and 'Jerry Pate Williams' what do you think Wylie?, suppose I'll have to wait till the others flower to be sure.
I've seen a picture very like this in one of my catalogues I'll have to have a search.

Very frustrating when that happens.

The big difference between the two is habit - JPW is evergreen & has an edge that is more ruffled, and is a TET. Madge Cayse is dormant and a DIP. Dab some pollen from something you know, and that will eliminate one of them. It doesn't look like any that I know, and because it is so simple, I would guess it is an older variety.

The petals are so round! Nice colour also!

Thanks Wylie:-),great idea about dabbing the pollen but it only had 2 flowers being its first year so none to try it on:-(, I'll certainly keep my eye on whether its a dormant or evergreen though, knew I'd seen a picture that looked just like it and found it!!! in the catalogue of the supplier of this, 'Frances Joiner', which is a parent of 'Madge Cayse' so still wondering if the labels have been mixed up, 'Madge Cayse' should be open tomorrow and looks like it'll be purple so wondering if thats 'Russian Ragtime' we'll see,I may e-mail the supplier to check but don't hold out much hope of a reply as Gg has emailed him about some wrong plants and got no response, still it only cost me £1 :-))
