Are they the cultivated poppies Pixi?
I have a lot of self seeded ones about as well besides these, but the stems & leaves of those are much paler green than these & not such bushy plants. They are quite tall with, - usually - pinky mauve flowers, each lasting only a day.
The seed heads are lovely though if you have the patience to let them grow fat then cut them with the stems attached & let them dry off thoroughly - nice decorative seedheads!
These in the pic I grew from seed, lost the packet & forgot what I had sown!!
I thought they would be Canturbury Bells, but turned out to be poppies!! - not C-Bells at all!!
Don't know what happened to my C.B seeds because I DID have some!! [ I know I did!! ;o)) ]

If yours are the cultivated type just plant them on as you would other plants, about 2ft apart, unless you want to spread them about a bit. They do get quite big & wide!
I cut mine down when they have gone over, then they sprout up again in the spring & get bushy all over again!!
I think they will tolerate most soils - our soil is nothing special!!If they are the other type they don't like being replanted - I have tried it & they either shrivel up & die or they don't grow on very well.
Let us know how they get on.

Probably best idea if they are big enough.

They've been lovely Homebird. They have been in for a few years & as they had got old & straggley now I dug them after they had gone over this year......but there are several other poppies coming along nicely, so hope they will do as well as the old ones have done!!!
