Lagerstroemia 'Cherry Dazzle'

Wonderful bush. Never heard of it before. Where are you going to put it?

I have to bring it inside the sunroom for winter because it won't survive here. I've had it for 3 years now I think and have had good luck with keeping it dormant inside for winter. Sometimes it is late to wake up here but this year with the early heat it started growing in April.
The common name is crepe myrtle, they are very popular in the southern US.

Usually crepe myrtle is a fast-growing tree and more typically has white or pink flowers and exfoliating bark. This is a dwarf version so has smaller leaves and is more shrubby looking. Only a few varieties have bright red flowers like this one. They can bloom as early as June or as late as August-September and even into October. They are called crepe myrtle because the flowers look like crepe paper I think.
Are they regular myrtle (Myrtus communis) that you have there? They are beautiful shrubs, I have one as a house plant.

Yes, you are right. We have regular myrtle, very small shrubs with white flowers. Myrtle is traditionally used in weddings.
