I don't think you can have too many dahlias! (I only have three, and every one has been eaten this year!)

Ah, thats unfortunate Mel...But you do have to slug proof them at planting time...& then we have the earwigs eating the flowers in late Summer...yuck!!!!

I know, Moti - and I'm not good at slugproofing, because I don't use pellets and I don't think anything else works. Perhaps it won't be quite so wet next year, and they'll fare better! I think it was as much the earwigs as the slugs, this year!

My earwigs haven really started yet and i grit heavily at planting time, raw egg shells later on and also pieces of copper scouring pad pegged down....I admit i do use a few pellets in the planting hole..thats my recipe Mel...:>)

I'd better roll my sleeves up, then!!!
