nearly a year old and still going, didnt expect this to do as well being in the ground. I think the wet summer helped.

Looks good. Love Gunnera, mine are huge this year and didnt suffer early frost damage. I suspect your hosta will get swamped next year :(

Hi all, thank you,
Dawn, hostas(three clumps) now in third year here, so plan to lift this year and divide and relocate to give gunnera room to grow. Same as sea holly all outgrowing there space and need lifting. So expect to have lots of spares.
