Alstroemeria psittacina (Alstroemeria psittacina (White edged Peruvian Lily))

First blooms.
Really pleased to see them as they're said to dislike disturbance.

I'm pleased for you that they survived the move Meanie ..

Always expected them to survive, but did not expect to see them in bloom this year as they have a reputation for disliking disturbance.

Hi meanie would this be ok in a pot :)

2 May, 2014

It'll be fine in a pot Daylily, but in the ground it will thrive. It is totally hardy - probably the hardiest of all the easily available Alstros in the UK.

Many thanks meanie, I have read it can be invasive what do you think :)

If the clump gets too big I just dig a bunch of tubers up. It's not what I would describe as rampant though.

Ok thanks again Meanie I will have a think :)
