That is grlorious, sadly none of mine produce seed of any notice, they all produce proliferations. So no crosses,l but then to be honest with all the grotty colours i ended up with, I'm glad they don't cross as the yellows would no doubt be prolific. But I do intend to buy some darker richer varieties. The prob is I need to see them in flower as I no longer believe the label. Been there, done that, result cr@p.

Most of the time you need to do the pollinating yourself. I have found self- or bee-pollinated seeds don't result in anything worth keeping. I have an icy yellow I really like that gave me an ordinary yellow (compost material).
It is also better to buy one nice one from someone you trust than going for several bargains. The older varieties are much less expensive than something very new.

AAAHH beautiful Wylie! I was so busy these days - the birth of my second grandchild - a beautiful seedling she is!

Congratulations!
My garden has slowed, a few new ones, but it is the improvements to several that are exciting, and gathering seeds - over 35 packets of seed so far (I'll be busy in January).

Wow, that is a lot of seeds! It is quite a job to plant all of them. Our weather is very funny theses days. It snowed in all the provinces the first time in history, we have dust storms (is that the correct English word?), the wind is blowing 40 km/h today and it is a hot summers day, tomorrow there will be snow again on some mountains...rediculous weather. ??

I am planning on about 300 seedlings for next year - January is very busy for me.
We are having odd weather as well - it hasn't been above 26 C, and there has been a lot of rain (usually it is dry in August) and so the only real watering I have done is to apply a liquid fertilizer once a month. Today, there were lots of flowers, but it had rained so the pollen and everything was wet.

That is not a bad temperature - 26C. Not too hot and not too cold. We will be 20C today. Come on spring!
